The Modern Languages Literary Series presents a conversation with Puerto Rican writer Charlie Vázquez about his new book, Fantasmas: Puerto Rican Tales of the Dead on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 4 to 5 p.m.

The collection includes works of fiction triggered by the cataclysmic aftermath of Hurricane Maria as well as the economic crisis overshadowing the archipelago for most of its existence.
