Dr. Sarah Wyatt, Professor of Environmental and Plant Biology and Director of the Molecular and Cellular Biology program at Ohio University, recently co-authored with members of the Wyatt Lab, Colin Kruse, Alexander Meyers, and Proma Basu, a publication in Biomed Central Plant Biology (BMC Plant Biology) on how spaceflight affects Arabidopsis seedlings regulatory responses.
Understanding how plants respond to microgravity may give some insight on how to maximize productivity on Earth during stressful conditions and assist with humand during long term space habitation or travel.
