Contemporary History Panel | Legacy of Jeane Kirkpatrick’s ‘Dictatorships and Double Standards,’ Oct. 31

The Contemporary History Institute announces a panel a panel discussion of the impact and legacy of Jeane Kirkpatrick’s 1979 thesis on “Dictatorships and Double Standards” on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 5 p.m. in Baker 242.

The panel features:

  • Dr. Paul Milazzo, Associate Professor of History at Ohio University, introduction
  • Dr. Nukhet Sandal, Associate Professor and Chair of Political Science at Ohio University, moderator
  • Dr. Russell Crandall, Professor of Latin American Studies at Davidson College, on the United States and Latin America
  • Dr. Mohammad Ayatollahi Tabaar, Associate Professor of International Affairs at the Bush School at Texas A&M University, on Iran and the United States
