Conference Dates
Keynote address and reception: Wednesday, April 16, at the Ohio University Inn, Lindley Room.
Student papers: Thursday, April 17, in Bentley Annex 402.
Who Can Participate?
Undergraduate students in their junior or senior year who have produced a research history paper are invited to submit their work to the Ninth Annual Undergraduate History Conference.
Why Participate?
The History Conference offers students an opportunity to publish their work in a conference format; engage peers and faculty members in academic dialogue; and experience a fundamental part of the historian’s profession. Students who wish to pursue graduate studies, a career in public history, or a profession that requires experience with research, writing or public speaking are strongly encouraged to participate.
What To Expect?
Each speaker will have 15 to 20 minutes to present; papers should, therefore, be no longer than 8 to 10 double-spaced pages. Full papers must be submitted to panel chairs no later than Friday, April 4. Dr. Clouse and the Conference Planning Committee will work closely with interested students to prepare papers for presentation.
