The Institute for Applied and Professional Ethics speaker series presents Meghan Louttit on “The Ethics of Digital Storytelling” on March 21, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Schoonover 145.

Louttit is a deputy editor for visual storytelling on the Metro desk of The New York Times. Previously, she was deputy editor of Digital News Design, creating innovative stories and overseeing visual storytelling across. She joined The New York Times in 2010 as front-end developer and designer. She started her career as a reporter and homepage producer at The Washington Post. She is a three-time News & Documentary Emmy award winner, Scripps-Howard Journalism Awards judge, and recognized by the Society for News Design, Society of Publication Designers, and the Online News Association.

Louttit earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University in 2008.
