Abstract: Nuclear reactions generate energy in nuclear reactors, in stars, responsible for the existence of all elements heavier than hydrogen in the universe, and provide information of nuclear structure. In general, nuclear reactions are divided into direct nuclear reactions and fusion reactions. The study of fusion reactions is difficult due to the fact that many degree of freedom involved during the collision.  On the other hand, direct nuclear reactions only favor the few degree of freedom and normally can be studied by a three body model. In this talk, the solution of quantum three body model is discussed and applied to study the cross sections of elastic scattering, transfer/breakup, and even the fusion.
