Two-time Vice Presidential Candidate and the founder of the Black Radical Congress Jarvis Tyner will visit Ohio University’s campus in order to speak on several different topics on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Schoonover 145.
Tyner will speak on black communists, the fight against Donald Trump, and the history of the Communist Party USA.
Tyner works within the Communist Party USA after years of being a political activist throughout his life. Tyner has been a long-time public spokesperson for the CPUSA, presenting its positions against racism, imperialism, and war.
This event is being sponsored by the Black Student Cultural Programming Board, The Multicultural Center, the LGBT Center, the Center for Law, Justice & Culture, and Club Frida Kahlo.
