The 2018 Student Research and Creativity Expo is Thursday, April 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Convocation Center, with free pizza and beverages offered until 1 p.m.
“The University community and general public are invited to find out how Ohio University students are learning beyond the walls of the classroom and contributing new ideas to our world,” said Ohio University President M. Duane Nellis. “I encourage you to see firsthand how more than 800 students from 58 departments and three campuses featured at this year’s Expo are engaged in a diverse array of research, scholarship, and creative projects.
“Ohio University’s annual Student Expo provides a window into how our undergraduate, graduate, and medical students contribute to OHIO’s research, scholarship, and creative endeavors,” Nellis said in an invitation to the community. “Thousands of students participate in these activities each year to help advance new knowledge, develop innovations, provide social commentary, and create artistic works, all for the benefit of society. In addition, students gain a deeper understanding of their academic disciplines and immerse themselves in hands-on experiences that help prepare them for their future careers.”
