History doctoral student Alexander Lovelace received an Ohio University Student Enhancement Award of $4,992 for his dissertation project, provisionally titled “Total Coverage: How the Media Shaped Total War.”
He plans to use the funds to visit the U.S. Military Academy at West Point’s Library and Archives, The FDR Presidential Library, and the MacArthur Memorial Library.
Lovelace has completed research fields in U.S. military history, U.S. political history, and modern Europe and the British Empire. Dr. Ingo Trauschweizer, Associate Professor of History and Director of the Contemporary History Institute, service as his dissertation supervisor.
This award marks the third non-departmental fellowship Lovelace has secured this spring term to support dissertation research during the 2018-19 academic year.
