Learn how to apply for the Critical Need Language Award, which is granted by the Gilman International Scholarship program, a U.S. Department of State program designed to help students study abroad to learn skills necessary for national security and economic prosperity, at a Gilman Scholarship Webinar on Thursday, Feb. 8, from 10-11 a.m.
Gilman Scholarship applicants who are studying a critical need language while abroad in a country where the language is predominantly spoken can apply for a supplemental award of up to $3,000 on top of the standard Gilman Scholarship cap of $5,000.
This webinar details the application and selection process for the Critical Need Language Award. Critical Need Languages include: Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bangla, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Punjabi, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, and Urdu.
