The Students for Law, Justice & Culture are coordinating an open forum on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 5-7 p.m. in Walter 235.
This is a forum for students, faculty, staff, and community members to discuss two new university policies that have been recently introduced in an interim capacity and are now going through a review period. These include a new policy on “Freedom of Expression” (No. 24.014 ) and the revision of a related policy on the “Use of Outdoor Spaces on the Athens Campus” (No. 24.016). Both of these policies were approved and adopted by the Ohio University administration as Interim Policies and are in effect now and throughout the review period.
To read more about the policies and their implementation, see an article in the Athens News.
“We encourage all to come and give input and would like to prioritize student voices regarding these policies that are included in the student section of university policies. We would like to hear from to all student leaders and organizations who will be affected by these policies,” said Dr. Haley Duschinski, Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Law, Justice & Culture.
Contact Duschinski or Jessica Roth for more information or with any questions.
