The Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics (INPP) presents Sergey Postnikov, of AR3C International, on “Challenges and Solutions in Making a Profitable, Green, Efficient, and Sustainable Recycling Business” on Tuesday, November 14, at 4 p.m. in Edwards Accelerator Lab, Roger W. Finlay Conference Room.
Abstract: AR3C is a business that came out of a family company called ATI. ATI successfully serviced giant greenhouse industry for over 30 years. It has been taking disposed biomass, soils and plastics to separate and condition them for reuse.
Several years ago the business went into rapid expansion by building new facilities that included plastic, fiber, biomass processing lines, an R&D center, an experimental greenhouse, a fish and algae farm, and most importantly a gasifier system.
The potential energy resource in our possession is over hundreds of trillions of Joules annually. But how to efficiently extract it on site is the challenge. Implementation of principles already existing in nature with bio-diversity allows us to meet the challenges faced in green and recycling industries.
A brief overview of our park and vision will be presented. I will talk about technical, energy-related, economical and anthropological challenges and solutions.
