Students are invited to consider the following AmeriCorps positions with Live Healthy Appalachia.
AmeriCorps COMCorps Members (2017-18 Service Year)
AmeriCorps/COMCorps Service Members engage in direct service to the community through the coordination of Live Healthy Appalachia’s healthy eating and active living programs. Live Healthy Appalachia hosts two AmeriCorps/ComCorps members—a Live Healthy Kids Coordinator and an Adult Education Coordinator. COMCorps is a 10.5 month service commitment, and the service year begins in August 2017. View more information and application instructions. AmeriCorps VISTA Member (2017-18 Service Year)
The AmeriCorps VISTA Member will serve to increase Live Healthy Appalachia’s capacity to provide nutrition and physical activity programs in Southeast Ohio. The VISTA member will strengthen current programs through marketing and curriculum development, develop new connections in the community to increase organizational capacity, and recruit and supervise volunteers for Live Healthy Appalachia programs. VISTA is a 12-month service commitment, and the service year begins in July 2017. View more information and application instructions. The application deadline is April 7, 2017.
