Ohio University accepts a variety of courses as transfer credit from accredited colleges and universities from all over the world. However, not every class can be accepted. Below are some guide lines for transferring credits that you should remember when taking transient courses.
- You must earn a C- or higher in the course. (A grade of D or higher will be accepted from Ohio Public Institutions; requisites still apply for courses in a series.)
- Courses must have letter grades (“A” “B”, etc.) Courses taken for CR of P/F will not transfer.
- Courses cannot be retakes of classes that you successfully completed at Ohio University
- Students are not permitted to transfer in credit for courses that were previously failed at Ohio University
- Junior composition (J courses) and Tier III courses are NOT transferable. These are courses specific to Ohio University and must be taken here.
