Classics & World Religions students are invited to an alumni panel on Friday, Feb. 3 as part of The College of Arts & Sciences Career & Networking Week.
Alumni from Classics & World Religions majors will discuss their career paths on Friday, Feb. 3, from 4-5 p.m. in Ellis 212.

About the Panelists
Grace Eberly
Grace Eberly
Eberly is currently a first-year medical student at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
She graduated summa cum laude and with Departmental Honors in 2016 from the College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio University with a B.A. in World Religions and a minor in Biological Sciences.
“At OU-HCOM, I participate in RUSP (the Rural and Urban Scholars Pathway), a co-curricular program that provides students with the experience and knowledge required to meet patients’ healthcare needs in rural and urban underserved communities. And I will be spending this summer volunteering as a healthcare navigator for Syrian refugees,” she says.
Her primary interests are in global medicine, the intersection of religion and healthcare, and social determinants of health. “My long-term goal is to work as a pediatrician.”
Gary Scanlon
Gary Scanlon
Scanlon is an Attorney-Advisor in the office of the International Tax Counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Previously, Scanlon was a senior manager in Ernst & Young’s national corporate tax practice in Washington DC and then its national international tax practice in Chicago. He received his B.A. in Classics from Ohio University, his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, and his L.L.M. in Taxation from the Northwestern University School of Law.
Rebekah Wald
Rebekah Wald ’13
Rebekah Wald received her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in World Religions and History in 2013. After moving to Cincinnati, Wald took a position in the public relations and brand storytelling firm Fallon Thatcher, where she is responsible for managing relationships with clients and finding new and exciting ways to bring them into the public spotlight.
In her free time, Wald enjoys writing and producing short films with her friends, and she is currently working on a new apparel brand set to launch this spring.
