The Center for Law, Justice & Culture is now accepting applications for students interested in serving as Pre-Law Ambassadors during the 2016-17 school year.
Pre-Law Ambassadors must be full-time students with a 3.0 GPA, have an interest in attending law school after graduation, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to be a productive team member, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Duties of the Pre-Law Ambassadors are to:
- Assist with facilitation of and attendance at Pre-Law Day at Ohio University on Nov. 3-4, 2016.
- Assist in disseminating information to pre-law students.
- Participate in the development of and attend Pre-Law events.
- Work with CLJC to recruit prospective students.
- Represent the needs and interests of Ohio University pre-law students at meetings, as required.
In furtherance of their volunteer responsibilities, Pre-Law Ambassadors will develop skills that will assist them during the law school application process, including excellent communication skills, professionalism, and professional networking.
Interested applicants should email CLJC Pre-Law Specialist Larry Hayman at hayman@ohio.edu no later than Oct. 19, 2016, with a copy of their DARS report and a short statement describing why they want to be a Pre-Law Ambassador.
