Breese received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Youngstown State University; his master’s in sociology from Ohio University; and his doctorate in sociology from the University of Akron.
“The breadth of Dr. Breese’s academic administrative experience as well as his practical management style make him a strong fit as Dominican’s provost,” President Donna Carroll says. “His collaborative disposition resonates with our Catholic Dominican ethos and commitment to shared governance. At the same time, his past efforts developing graduate professional programs address a current leadership priority.”
