Dr. Abdinur Sheikh Mohammed
Ohio University welcomes Dr. Abdinur Sheikh Mohammed to speak on the current predicament of Somalia in relation to the Al-Shabaab insurgency and the ongoing effort stabilize governance in the country.
The talk on “Somalia Between a Rock and a Hard Place: State Formation, Foreign Intrusion, and Al-Shabab” is Tuesday, April 19, at 5 p.m. in Ellis 214.
The speaker is a former Minister of Culture and Education in the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia from 2010-11.
He now works in Columbus for the Ohio Department of Education. He received his Ph.D. in Education Administration from Ohio University in 1996.
