Academic Advisor and Transfer Specialist for the College of Arts & Sciences
Transfer students should consider working on their foreign language courses as soon as possible. The College of Arts & Sciences has a foreign language requirement for graduation. Students in Bachelor of Arts programs are required to meet the 2120 level in a foreign language, and Bachelo
r of Science programs require the 1120 level in a foreign language. Transfer students often were not required to take a foreign language at their previous institution, and as a result, may come in to Ohio University needing up to two years of a foreign language. Don’t put this off until the last minute. If you have not already taken it, please complete the foreign language placement test. This will let you know what course you should take for your chosen language. Once placed, plan to take your foreign language as soon as possible so that there is plenty of time to complete it prior to graduation.
