Dynamics in Biology | Mathematical Modeling of Cholera Epidemics, Feb. 2

The Dynamics in Biology Seminar presents “Mathematical Modeling of Cholera Epidemics” on Tuesday,  Feb. 2, at 3:05 p.m. in Morton 322.

Dr. Xueying Wang

Dr. Xueying Wang

The speaker is Xueying Wang, Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Washington State University.

Abstract: Cholera is a severe water-borne disease caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. In this talk, I will present some recent development of cholera epidemics. Particularly, I will talk about endemic stability, cholera traveling waves and disease threshold dynamics by using ODE and PDE models.
