Asiyeh Rafieipour, a doctoral student in Mathematics at Ohio University, recently lectured at several virtual events.
Rafieipour studies algebra and discrete mathematics with her adviser, Dr. Sergio Lopez-Permouth, Professor of Mathematics.
At the 46th Annual New York State Regional Graduate Mathematics Conference on April 10, she presented a paper titled “A Monoid Structure on the Set of all Binary Operations over a Fixed Set and some of its properties.”
She also attended the American Mathematical Society’s Spring Central Sectional Meeting on April 17 and 18, delivering a paper on “A monoid structure on the set of all binary operations over a fixed set.”
At USTARS 2021 (Underrepresented Students in Topology and Algebra Research Symposium) on April 29-30, Rafieipour discussed “A Monoid Structure on the Set of all Binary Operations over a Fixed Set and some of its properties.”
And May 1-2 at the AMS Spring Western Sectional Meeting, she presented “A characterization of the unit group of the monoid structure on the set of all binary operations over a fixed set.”
