Welcome back! I hope you had a fantastic winter break with time to reflect on your fall term and to refresh.
College of Arts & Sciences undergraduate students can take advantage of virtual drop-in hours for help with your spring schedule, to complete a graduation check, or declare a major.
The College of Arts & Sciences Undergraduate Student Affairs staff would like to remind you that our office will be operating virtually again this spring semester and until further notice due to COVID-19.
Virtual Drop-in Advising Hours Extended
We invite you to take advantage of our virtual drop-in advising hours for assistance. The Office of Undergraduate Student Affairs will have extended drop-in advising everyday during the first week of classes.
- Tuesday, Jan. 19, to Friday, Jan. 22, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 4 p.m.
- Ask to meet with an adviser by using this form. No appointment is needed during drop-in hours.
- Be sure to have your TEAMS open on your computer and ready for your virtual session.
If you are a senior and planning to complete your degree this spring, you should meet with an adviser to review your Degree Audit Report (DARS) and confirm that your plans for graduation are as you anticipate. It is your responsibility to see that all requirements are met for graduation. A graduation check will allow you to double-check that you are on track and meeting all university, college and major requirements and avoid surprises.
If you are a junior and planning to complete your degree next spring, now is the time to schedule your first graduation check. By meeting with an academic adviser your junior year, you can confirm that you are on track for a timely graduation. A grad check your junior year is another opportunity to be pro-active in your academic planning. An academic adviser can help recognize minors and/or certificates that you might be close to completing. This gives you time to strategically plan your final year for the most impactful and fulfilling undergraduate experience.
If you are ready to declare your major, get more information and use this form to submit your request.
