Ohio University junior Justin Riley was awarded the Alan Aichinger Memorial Scholarship by the Political Science Department.
Riley is majoring in Political Science in the Honors Tutorial College.
This scholarship is awarded to a Political Science Honors Tutorial student who has compiled an outstanding academic record. It was created in 1980 by departmental colleagues, friends, and family of Professor Alan Aichinger, who taught in the department’s Honors Tutorial program and was the program’s first director.
“Justin is an outstanding member of the honors tutorial program in political science. His contributions to tutorial and class discussions are always thoughtful, and his work ethic is unflagging. We are excited to see what he does with his senior thesis!” said Dr. Andrew Ross, Associate Professor of Political Science and Honors Tutorial Director.
Riley recently co-authored an article on “On Electricity Deregulation And The California Power Crisis” in the PA Times with Dr. Gilbert Michaud, Assistant Professor of Practice at the George V. Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs.
