As you can probably collect from the title, this is my “unbiased opinions” of some of Athens’ best businesses. Coming in at number one would have to be Skin Hooked Tattoo, owned and operated by Shawn Hawks. (Coincidence? I think so.) Skin Hooked is a reputable tattoo shop that features incredible artists and piercers.
- If you’d like to learn more about them, visit their Skin Hooked Tattoo Facebook page, where a note says,”We hope everyone will be patient and understanding and come back to support our artists whether it’s in a couple weeks or a couple months. & I hope you and your loved ones stay safe and are doing what you can to contain this crisis.”
My next favorite Athens business is Fusion Noodle Company. They are one of the best restaurants in Athens in my totally unbiased opinion. Their pho is legendary, as well as their other incredible dishes like sushi burritos, crab rangoons, and fusion noodle dishes that will rock your world. Order online or browse their mouthwatering menu at http://www.fusionnoodleathens.net/
- Fusion wrote on its Facebook page, “Hey Noodle Lovers, Fusion is now reopened and taking delivery and pickup orders again! We are asking customers to please call ahead and place orders if doing takeout.”
My third and final favorite Athens business is Avalanche pizza. Not only do they have incredibly complex pizza’s with mind-blowing topping options, but they have really really good salads, sandwiches, calzones, and TIRAMISU. The BEST dessert, in my unbiased opinion. Avalanche also has gluten-free options, which are equally as tasty! You can check out their menu here: https://avalanchepizza.net/menu/
- On its Facebook page, Avalanche writes, “We ask all pick-up/carry out customers to please limit people entering our small lobby. We also ask you to follow signs separating staff from customers and limit contact with surfaces. We offer gloves in our lobby and at our door. We can also get your pick up name and bring pizzas to you as you wait outside.”
- Avalanche and its customers also are helping to feed those in need, delivering lunches to the Nelsonville Food Cupboard and the Kilvert Community Center.
Thank you for reading and enjoying my totally unbiased reviews of my top three favorite businesses in Athens! Stay safe and shop local.
