During my last three years here at Ohio University, I made a point to try and support local businesses. One of my favorite restaurants down here in Athens is Souvlaki’s.
I discovered this place during my freshmen year of college during my time of being vegan. I was introduced to this place by a friend who was also vegan at the time. I recommend the hummus; this place is the reason why I obtained a love for hummus. The hummus was really rich in its taste, and I definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to eat in Athens.
Two others restaurant that I recommend in Athens are El Camino and Sol. Both of these restaurants are on East State Street and are a little further from Court Street, but I definitely recommend anyone to go to these restaurants. El Camino and Sol provide an excellent selection for vegan and vegetarian options. For both restaurants, I had a chance to enjoy the food with my roommates.
Lastly, I recommend Thai Paradise. I was introduced to this restaurant by a friend freshmen year, and I have been eating there ever since. I recommend the sweet and sour chicken; I get it almost every time that I am there. The efficiency at this restaurant is great, and I love how the staff separates the food.
