The Ohio University Women’s Center invites the campus community to join a virtual Take Back the Night to end sexual violence, domestic violence, harassment and stalking on Twitter on Thursday, April 2, from 6 to 9 p.m.
- To participate in the event use #SurvivorsUniteTBTN.
“This event has been an annual stand against violence since 1979. We did not want to miss the opportunity to continue engaging with survivors, especially as a number of news articles have come out citing the likelihood of seeing increased incidents of domestic violence as folks shelter in place due to COVID-19,” says Dr. Geneva Murray, Director of the Women’s Center.
This march has long been a time for campus and community to come together to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking and harassment. To support campus and community efforts and connect with larger campaigns, participants can use these additional tags:
- @ohiou
- @CityofAthensOH
- #SupportSurvivorsBy
- #StartByBelieving
- #IWillWalkWithYou
