Dr. Zachary Meisel, Assistant Professor of Physics & Astronomy at Ohio University, is featured in an American Astronomical Society inaugural video chat its a new AAS Journal Author Series.
In the 24½-minute inaugural video, Meisel discusses his recent article “Spallation-Altered Accreted Compositions for X-Ray Bursts: Impact on Ignition Conditions and Burst Ashes,” which appears in the Astrophysical Journal.
Host Frank Timmes, AAS Journals lead editor, discusses with Meisel “where the community goes from here given what we know at this point — and what we have yet to figure out — about X-ray bursts,” writes AAS Press Officer Richard Fienberg, announcing the new video series.
