The Environmental & Plant Biology Colloquium Series presents, Dr. Brooke Best, on “Green Roofs as Ecosystems” on Friday March 20, at 11:50 a.m. in Porter 104.

Best is Director of Research Programs at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas in Fort Worth, Texas. Best is a plant ecologist who happily stumbled into the world of green roof research. Best will present a case study of a prairie-style extensive green roof, including ecological studies of plant and arthropod communities. As time afterward allows, Best welcomes questions from students interested in career pathways outside of traditional academia.
