Ohio University’s “Challenging Dialogues” lecture series presents New York Times reporter Lisa Friedman discussing “Covering Climate Change in the Age of Trump” Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. in Baker Ballroom A.
Friedman is a reporter for The New York Times Climate Desk. Her talk will concentrate on how climate change talks and regulations have changed drastically over the past few years, including differences between the Obama and Trump administrations. She will also discuss the future, the 2020 elections, and a global viewpoint on climate change.
“Challenging Dialogues” is a presidential initiative created by Ohio University President M. Duane Nellis to provide an outlet for constructive conversation around topics that spark interest nationally or globally.
“Climate change has been a deeply polarized subject of national debate for many years,” Nellis said. “Through our Challenging Dialogues lecture, it is our hope that our community will be inspired to apply what they learn as they navigate this important topic. I look forward to Lisa’s interactive presentation.”
