Do you have an interest in law, law school, or simply in joining a great student organization on campus? Come join Ohio University’s only pre-law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta, on Jan. 28 and Feb. 4 from 7-8 p.m. in Bentley 129. Dress is business casual.
Ohio University’s Phi Alpha Delta is an organization geared to students who have interest in law or law school. Phi Alpha Delta is the largest co-ed professional law fraternity in the United States. Regardless of your year or major, this is a great organization for anyone interested in exploring law and the legal profession.
Phi Alpha Delta members are provided the opportunity to visit law school, engage in community service, learn from an abundance of speakers in various legal fields, LSAT preparation and and internship opportunities, among others. Being a professional and academic fraternity, members also learn from and network with diverse groups of people in the legal field.
Along with multiple resources, this fraternity also provide you with more connections and relationships. With more than 100 current members, you are surrounded by students with similar academic and professional interests. You will often find members for in your classes and other organizations.
“Phi Alpha Delta at OHIO is a great organization. I have met so many people, not only from networking and alumni events but also just as peers and friends. I’ve met some of my absolute best friends through this organization, and I feel better equipped for my future in law,” says Micaela Beatham-Garcia, a second-year Political Science – Pre-Law student.
“Phi Alpha Delta is an excellent resource for students interested in exploring law,” adds Larry Hayman, Pre-Law Advisor and Specialist for the Center for Law, Justice & Culture and advisor to the group adds. “Law schools like to see that you’re involved in the community, including through student organizations. As a bonus, you get to join an organization that includes five current Supreme Court of the United States Justices as members, including Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Samuel Alito!”
