The George Washington Forum presents Dr. Kevin M. Murphy discussing “Human Capital, Inequality and Economic Growth” on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Galbreath Chapel on the College Green.
Murphy is the George J. Stigler Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago after graduating from UCLA with an undergraduate degree in economics.
He is is the first professor at a business school to be chosen as a MacArthur Fellow and he was the 1997 John Bates Clark Medalist, a prize awarded “that American under the age of forty who is adjudged to have made a significant contribution to economic thought and knowledge.”
