Ohio University alum Russell Bennett passed away on Jan. 15, 2020, in Bemidji, Minn., says his obituary in the Aitkin Independent.
He earned three Psychology degrees from the College of Arts & Sciences at OHIO—a bachelor’s in 1971, a master’s in 1975, and a Ph.D. in 1977.
He attended Ohio University from 1971 until 1977, and graduated with a Ph.D. in Psychology. He worked for Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio from 1976 until 1978. He moved to Bemidji and started teaching Psychology at Bemidji State University in 1978. In addition to teaching he was an Independent Behavioral Consultant from 1980 until 2006. He retired from Bemidji State University as Professor Emeritus in 2012. During his career he had his research published in; the Journal of Psychology, Behavioral Science, Journal of Social Psychology, and the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.
