The Modern Languages colloquium series presents Dr. Emilia Alonso Sameño, who will be giving the talk “Spanish language learning through telecollaboration: Preparing our students for the digital, global era,” on Thursday, October 10 from 4–5 p.m. in Gordy 113.
Alonso Sameño is Professor of Spanish in the Modern Languages Department at Ohio University.
She will spend the Spring 2020 semester in India working at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. During her trip, Alonso Sameño will be setting up a project to enable Spanish students in India to virtually correspond with Spanish students at Ohio University. Students will discuss different topics pertaining to the role of global Spanish and will work on a joint research project and report the results of their collaboration.
