Ohio University undergraduate student Matthew Vince presented at the 49th Annual meeting for the Society for Neuroscience 2019.
“I am studying monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) and their targets in Caenorhabditis elegans,” said Vince, a junior majoring in Biological Sciences Pre-Professional.
“I am testing combinations of genetic knockouts for genes involved in MA synthesis and MA receptors. Currently, in our lab we are testing locomotion from C. elegans in different MAOIs. We wish to determine if MAOIs have MA-independent effects on other targets in C. elegans.”
