The Algebra Seminar series meets twice this week, with meetings on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 5 to 6 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 19, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Morton 313.
Tuesday’s speaker is Isaac Owusu-Mensah; he will continue presenting a paper titled “Embedding groups into distributive subsets of the monoid of binary operations” by Gregory T. Mezera.
Thursday’s speaker is OUCRA visitor César Alejandro Arellano, from UNAM, Mexico City, Mexico. His presentation is a continuation to last week’s introduction to the theory of Krull dimension of rings and modules.
