You’ve spent time giving thought to your interests, reviewed the undergraduate catalog, spoken with an academic adviser and trusted centers of influence. You’ve done your research and now you are ready to declare your major. You are just in time!
The fall deadline to update your program and declare or change your major with the Registrar is Friday, Oct. 11, 2019.
You don’t need an appointment, just bring your OHIO ID and stop in at the College of Arts & Sciences Office of Undergraduate Student Affairs in Wilson Hall on the College Green and complete an Update of Academic Program(s) form.
Still Deciding on a Major? Don’t worry. There are many first-year students who enter as undecided and still complete their degrees in four years. Focus on selecting a major you know you will enjoy. Your joy of learning will drive your success and your success will open doors. Here are some resources to help guide your exploration on how to choose an Arts & Sciences Major that fits your interests.
- Attend the Majors Fair Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Baker Center Ballroom.
- Contact a faculty adviser in the department of a major that you want to learn more about.
- Schedule an appointment with a professional adviser to help you get started.
- Review the Arts & Sciences Majors.
- Consider adding an Arts & Sciences Minors & Certificates.
- More on choosing a major that fits your interests.
- Enroll in CAS 1130 Career Development for the Liberal Arts available this spring.
