Five Political Science students presented their work at Ohio University’s 2019 Student Research & Creative Activity Expo on April 11.
Four hailed from the Honors Tutorial Program, the fifth from the M.A. in Political Science. Two of the five presenters received awards.
Political Science graduate student Bruna Pereira won first prize in the Arts and Humanities session for her research on Brazil’s 2018 presidential election: “The Impact of the Period of Crisis on the Electorate Behavior in Brazil.”
Honors Tutorial College student Aliviah Chaplin took first prize in the Arts and Humanities session for her thesis research on “The Ontological Security Complex: The Impact of System Altering Events on States’ Existential Identities.”
