The George Washington Forum at Ohio University presents “Human Capital, Inequality and Economic Growth” on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. in Galbreath Chapel.
The speaker is Kevin Murphy, the George J. Stigler Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago after graduating from UCLA with an undergraduate degree in economics.
He is is the first professor at a business school to be chosen as a MacArthur Fellow, and he was the 1997 John Bates Clark Medalist, a prize awarded “that American under the age of 40 who is adjudged to have made a significant contribution to economic thought and knowledge.”
