The Institute for Applied and Professional Ethics speaker series presents Maria Gallucci on “The Ethics of Environmental Reporting” on April 4, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Schoonover 145.
Gallucci is a freelance science and environment writer and the 2017-18 Energy Journalism Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin. She is currently completing a nonfiction book about the clean energy transformation in maritime cargo shipping. She has worked as a writer for publications such as Mashable, International Business Times, Makeshift Media, and Inside Climate News, and AP. Prior to that, she worked as a journalist in Mexico City and Honduras. She has covered a wide range of energy and environment issues in the United States and Latin America.
Gallucci earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University in 2008.
