Ohio University alum Scott Owens ’84 was featured in a Hickory Daily Record story by Mary Canrobert headlined “Like poetry, shop soothes, nourishes and inspires.”
He earned an A.B. in English from the Honors Tutorial College at OHIO.
Had I been gifted with the skills of a poet, I’d write an ode to the sundry sides of Scott Owens. He and his wife Julie own Taste Full Beans in downtown Hickory. Purveying excellent coffee and tasty foodstuffs constitute only the tip of the iceberg that is Scott Owens.
He’s a scholar, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Ohio University, a Master of Arts in English from UNC-Charlotte, and a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from UNC-Greensboro.
