College of Arts & Sciences students took some of the top honors at the 2019 Ohio University Three Minute Thesis (3MT) on Feb. 19.
Anne Sternberger took second place for her presentation on “Figuring out flowers: Insight into the mixed breeding system of violets.” She is a graduate student in Environmental & Plant Biology in Dr. Sarah Wyatt’s lab.
Proma Basu took third place for her presentation on “A tale of two proteins: Spaceflight proteomics sheds light on how a plant decides which way is up.” She is a graduate student in Environmental & Plant Biology and Molecular and Cellular Biology, also in Wyatt’s lab.
The Doctoral Student People’s Choice award went to Rebecca Keogh for “Combating the weapons of Staphylococcus aureus.” She is a graduate student in Biological Sciences. She is in Dr. Ronan Carroll’s lab.
