The Ohio Legislative Service Commission is now accepting applications for the 2020 LSC Fellowship Program.
The LSC Legislative Fellowship Program is a paid, full-time, 13-month professional experience that offers college graduates an unparalleled opportunity to work with the Ohio General Assembly. Applicants to the program must have at least a bachelor’s degree by December of 2019. All academic backgrounds are welcome, and prior political experience is not required. Successful applicants have an interest in public service and excellent communication skills, and most have a strong academic record. Fellows receive full state of Ohio employee benefits and are paid $31,200 per year, with the opportunity to earn a $2,000 bonus based on length of service in the program.
Legislative applications are due (postmarked) by April 1, 2019, and Telecommunications applications are due (postmarked) by May 31, 2019.
Legislative interviews will be held during April and May, and Telecommunications interviews will be held in June, both in Columbus. Employment will begin the first week of December 2019 and will continue through December 31, 2020.
