Twilley will discuss how recreation and tourism serves as a community development strategy, especially in the areas of sustainable economic development, health and wellness, and connecting communities. In support, he will look at national, state, and local data to better understand how outdoor recreation and tourism is a vital strategy for community change, while focusing on a local case study.
Twilley is an Ohio University faculty member in the Recreation Studies program with a focus on outdoor recreation and ecotourism.
