An Ohio Innocence Project Program Director and OHIO alumnus Pierce Reed ’86 will hold two information sessions in September for students who wish to join the Ohio University chapter of OIP-u.
- Thursday, Sept. 13: from 4 to 5 p.m., Bentley 236
- Friday, Sept. 14: from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Center for Law Justice and Culture Office, Bentley 001
The Ohio Innocence Project at the University of Cincinnati College of Law actively pursues exoneration initiatives on behalf of individuals who have been wrongfully convicted and incarcerated. This work includes helping develop and advocate for lasting criminal justice reform through legislation as well as launching Ohio Innocence Project University, an active network of student groups at colleges across the state.
Reed was named to the College of Arts & Sciences launches the Notable Alumni Awards, which honors alumni for broad accomplishments in their careers, a commitment to community service at Ohio University, and valuable contributions to Ohio University, the College of Arts & Sciences, and its students.
