Ohio University’s Modern Languages Department, the Modern Language Art Initiative, and Rulfo’s Hut (the Modern Languages Literacy Workshop) hosted a poetry event titled, “Trail of Love. The Manifesting Poetic Destination” on Friday, Sept. 14 in Gordy Hall.
The event began with a set of love songs performed by “The Larger Sound.” There were four visiting poets and narrators from Virginia. Sections of their published works were read in Spanish.
The panel also featured Professor José Delgado-Costa of Ohio University presenting on his book, Sangre y Canela (2009). After the presentations and an intermission with refreshments, the mic was open for attendees.
