The Geological Sciences Colloquium Series presents Andrew Stuart on “Get to Know Geology Resources @ Alden Library” on Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. in Clippinger 205.
Ohio University Libraries provide a wide range of materials in Geological Sciences. Article databases, print and electronic books, maps and theses and dissertations are only some of the resources. Andrew Stuart, Subject Librarian for Life and Physical Sciences will review the library resources in Geology and the services that support faculty and student research.
Stuart is the Subject Librarian for the departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Environmental & Plant Biology, Geological Sciences, and Physics & Astronomy. He also supervises the overnight staff and operations of the Learning Commons, serves on the Library Diversity Committee, and he is a native of Michigan so he understands what cold is really like, having grown up in the “Snow Belt.” He earned an AAS from Ferris State University, a B.A. in Botany in 1995 and an M.A. in Library and Information Studies in 1997, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been at Alden Library since 1998.
