The Center for Law, Justice & Culture is seeking Pre-Law Ambassadors during the 2018-19 school year.
Applicants should be full-time undergraduate students with at least a 3.0 GPA. Interested students should plan on attending law school after graduation, have well-developed written and verbal communication skills, be able to work effectively as a member of a team, and have the ability to ensure confidentiality.
The duties of a Pre-Law Ambassador are:
- Assist with facilitation of Law Fair on Oct. 22, 2018.
- Assist with facilitation of, and attendance at Pre-Law Day at Ohio University on Nov. 8-9, 2018.
- Assist in providing information to other pre-law students.
- Assist in the development of attendance at CLJC pre-law events.
- Assist CLJC in recruiting prospective students.
- Represent the needs and interests of Ohio University pre-law students at meetings.
Pre-Law Ambassadors are not paid positions and are voluntary, but selected students can expect to develop skills that will assist them during the law school application process, including furthering communication skills, professionalism, as well as professional networking.
Interested applicants should email CLJC Pre-Law Specialist Larry Hayman at hayman@ohio.edu with their major, relevant courses, resume, and a short statement of interest describing why they want to be a Pre-Law Ambassador, no later than Sept. 28.
