A faculty learning community on “Teaching Book & Print History Across the Disciplines” will bring together faculty and administrators to establish an interdisciplinary community to discuss book and print history. Participants will read key texts in the field and share strategies for incorporating rare books, archival, and special collections materials into their course content and assignments in order to develop new forms of interactive learning.
Participants should expect to meet once per month throughout the 2018-19 academic year. Participants will receive a $500 stipend upon completing the year-long commitment.
Those interested in joining the faculty learning community should submit a statement of interest to either Joe McLaughlin (mclaughj@ohio.edu), Nicole Reynolds (reynoldn@ohio.edu), or Miriam Intrator (intrator@ohio.edu) by Sept. 5, 2018. The statement of interest should include a brief description of why you are interested in the FLC.
