Three College of Arts & Sciences faculty have been named members of the OHIO Challenging Dialogues for Contemporary Issues Task Force, announced by Ohio University President M. Duane Nellis on April 30.
The Task Force has been charged with assessing national and world issues sparking civil discourse and working to develop themes surrounding such topics. Utilizing their developed themes as a guide, the Task Force will suggest possible expert guest speakers to President Nellis who could share their related knowledge and insight with the campus community as part of a larger “OCDCI Speaker Series.”
The creation of a campus-wide lecture series around difficult dialogues is one of President Nellis’ strategic pathways for Ohio University’s future that was announced during his investiture address in October 2017.
