The screening will be attended by Dr. Yusef Salaam, one of the Central Park Five, who will speak after the screening.

The Central Park jogger case involved the violent assault, rape, and sodomy of Trisha Meili, a female jogger, in New York City’s Central Park, on April 19, 1989. Five men were wrongfully convicted of this crime, based on false confessions and faulty forensic analysis of hairs found on the victim. DNA testing later pointed at another offender, Matias Reyes, and all five men were exonerated.

The event is co-sponsored by the Ohio Innocence Project, OIP-u, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, ACLU of Ohio University, Undergraduate Black Law Students Association, and Students for Law, Justice & Culture.

Refreshments will follow the presentation.

All are welcome to attend.
